In September 2014, the Spotted Dog Brewery opened its doors. Run by Jerry Grandle, a seasoned homebrewer, and his wife, Susan, the Mesilla storefront has grown in both physical footprint and recognition over the years! What started out as a three beer tap list and a handful of tables has grown into a generous tap list and menu available both indoors and outdoors - our patios boast exceptional views of the Organ Mountains.
With plenty of house beers that are always available and a wide variety of seasonal brews, along with an in-house kitchen dishing up favorites, like our green chile cheeseburger, and a selection of new plates each week, you are sure to discover something you love, whether you have come dozens of times or are a first-time visitor!
The brewery is named after Ryleigh, the family's bluetick hound at the time of opening. Her successor, Millie (another bluetick), has since happily filled her shoes. We welcome all well behaved dogs on our patios and are proud of our reputation for exceptional service, beer, and food. Our brews have been enjoyed in many states by family and friends, from coast to coast. We are Mesilla's only microbrewery and look forward to pouring a cold one for you and yours next time you stop by!
